I have more than 30 years of experience crossing different paths in our busy world. As a retired Naval Officer I understand the nuances of federal government management (and hence, the red tape). As a retired public servant, I have held front-line, supervisory, and managerial positions. I not only understand how cities work, I understand them from the bottom up.  My non-government experience includes retail, service, and manufacturing industries as well as Higher Education.

Whatever your business model,  I can help. In addition to myriad experiences, I hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration and constantly seek new avenues of learning and expertise. Thank you for joining me here. Whether you’re across the street or across the nation – together we can make sure that you reach your goal of “Becoming the Manager of Choice”.

Suzanne Ferris

I have a varied career that spans direct sales, sales management, and sales administration before making the transition into human resources. I have served as both an individual contributor and manager at such well-known bay area companies as Syntex/Syva, Samsung, SGI, and Oracle. At Oracle, I made the formal transition into management coaching and development and joined the HR organization where I supported several organizations to include the office of the CFO.

I have more than 25 years in the field of human resources in both high tech and higher education.  I joined Stanford University in October 2002 as the HR Director for the Alumni Association, Office of Development and Public Affairs. My tenure at Stanford includes serving as Associate Vice President and as a member of the leadership team for University HR for nearly two years. In July 2012, I accepted a leadership role in Business Affairs to staff and run their HR team.  I remained in this organization until my retirement in June of 2020 as the Associate Vice President of HR.

After serving in the United States Army, I graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in Sociology and have held Senior Professional Human Resources credentials (SPHR) since 2006.
